A pair of original ‘Orbita’ sling chairs designed by Duncan Burke for Arkana in 1972. Built with support from engineer Dave Dickinson, the design is a bold expression of industrial Bauhaus influence — minimal yet sculptural.
The frame is formed from three continuous curves of tubular chrome steel, while the seat is made from three precisely looped bands of thick leather that cradle the body. From every angle, the chair’s form is defined by a distinctive C-shaped silhouette.
